About us

Fleur Bryan

I began shipping horses to the United States in 1996, and once their new horses arrived, I travelled over to work with and coach the new owners. In 2002 I settled in Kentucky. I continued importing, breeding, producing, and competing for Irish horses until I suffered a career-ending injury in 2016After my injury, while pondering what to do next, my brother persuaded me to introduce his equine supplement line to the United States. I was hesitant since I believed I would be entering a crowded market, but after conducting an extensive study, I decided to go for it. The next step was to locate a vitamin and mineral supplement company.

After several meetings and the risk that it would not happen, a manufacturer was identified, and the rest is history, as they say. Parkmore’s product line has grown over time, and we now carry products for both humans and dogs and cats (so all members of the family are catered for). Parkmore is currently the exclusive distributor of Botanica international natural health goods in the United States, as of 2021. I continue to import horses for clients, hold combined training clinics across the country, and offer one-on-one and group lessons.

Bryan, Gordon

“You never gallop a horse to make him fit, you make him fit to gallop,” my late grandfather Bryan once said. That’s how it’s always been for me. All things performance-related piqued my interest as a self-proclaimed “sports geek” throughout my teens.

To fine-tune the equine athlete while optimizing management methods, I’ve always sought to blend both performance-related equine research and good old-fashioned common-sense horsemanship.

“Fail to plan, plan to fail”

As a coach, I attempt to instil in my riders the belief that their management/animal husbandry abilities are just as important to their success as assembling the correct team of veterinarians, physiotherapists, farriers, saddle fitters, and other professionals. Furthermore, dietary concerns account for 80% of all problems in horses.

So, using the Chinese medicine premise that our diet is our medicine chest as a guide, I set out to find a way to have healthier-looking horses at a lower cost per head, per day ratio. After a long period of testing, I began making items and contract manufacturing products for our own horses. Then, one evening, a buddy remarked on how great all of our horses were looking and inquired as to what I was doing differently. So I told him about it, and he immediately requested some to try out. A few days later, I received a call saying that the findings were fantastic and that I should sell everything and put everything into this initiative. I had previously done design work for other organisations, but the time had come to strike out on my own. There have been many challenges along the way, but here we are, and as they say, “the rest is history!”
