Premium Natural Horse Supplements for Better Equine Health

Stress, medications, and nutritional imbalances/deficiencies all take a toll on horses' digestive tracts, which in turn impacts the other systems in the body. Enzo was in need of a total reset when he came to me. He was tender and drawn throughout his body, with muscle atrophy, a dull coat, and brittle hooves. He has a history of ulcers and a rearing problem so severe he was labeled unsafe to ride.

His previous diet consisted of grass hay, sweet feed, and a few general supplements. He was on Omeprazole and some other drugs over the past couple of years. A high starch diet with limited forage intake increases acidity.  That combined with the stress from hauling, competing, and stalling can cause ulcers. Omeprazole lowers acidity to treat ulcers, but side effects include nutrient malabsorption, an increase in "bad" gut bacteria, and acid hypersecretion upon coming off of it, creating a vicious cycle.

Enzo's new and improved diet is low starch and consists mainly of forage to encourage healthy PH and beneficial gut bacteria. I have him on Vitamin & Mineral and the Immune Boost. I top off with a drizzle of the HI herb-infused oil, for the anti-inflammatory properties. I also do short cycles of Detox as needed. Since making these changes, he is brighter, less tense and drawn up, and hasn't shown any signs of gastric upset. He is also starting to get a nice, glossy coat.

I take a "whole horse" approach with every client or project I take on. I address nutrition, hoofcare, and behavior because they are all interconnected. I evaluate any horse I work with from head to tail before I move on to training...
